The "CineCast" name was hatch by my friend Phil Ozek and is a concatenation of "Cine", short for "Cinema", and "Cast", meaning to distribute. With that in mind, I felt "Cinema" be represented simply with the letter "C" and "Cast" could be represented by the triangle which grows from left to right. Together, the combined glyphs resemble a projector. This was unintentional, but welcome. With the concept on paper, I looked for tools that could help me create the look I wanted.
I found and used two great tools in combination to achieve the 3D look:
These tools work seamlessly together; Moray has a graphical UI but manages objects in a script that is seamlessly passed to POVRay and rendered.
